Insurance Surveys

Purpose: This type of survey is often required by financial institutions when financing the purchase of a yacht. It assesses the vessel's condition and value to determine its suitability as collateral for a loan. Scope: The condition and valuation survey typically include an inspection of the vessel's condition, equipment, systems, and documentation review. The surveyor also evaluates the vessel's market value based on its age, condition, features, and comparable sales. Outcome: The surveyor provides a report containing an assessment of the vessel's condition, market value, and recommendations for any necessary repairs or upgrades to meet financing requirements.
